Probe introduced the Fischer Advanced Curtainwall Technology to the U.S. market in 2000. Our first project was a recladding of the ventilation building for the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. Using our system, we were able to span from floor to floor since the existing substrate was unstable. (40,000 + sq.ft. of Mt. Airy Granite)
Our second U.S .project was the new library at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. The selected stone was a Chinese quartzite. Our stress free undercut anchor worked beautifully on this striated material. Our subframe allowed for 2 ½ inches of exterior insulation providing for a thermally efficient façade. (28,000 + sq. ft. ) This project was featured in STONE BUSINESS.
